May 14-Thank you to those who showed up for the annual spruce/clean up of the arena. The area looks amazing and the newly painted props are pretty awesome!
May 21- The Horsemanship Clinic with Clinician Jessica Stewart-Riley had a great turn out with 7 horse and rider combos out of 8 available spots. Thank you Jessica, and thank you Katie, for the great day!
May 29 -the DRHC Gymkhana #1 of 3 was a great turn out. We had 26 riders. The new Hour Glass game was a success. We had a run off in the intermediate between Kristin Smith and Micayla Lamberti for Reserve Champion, which Micayla won.
We would like to thank everyone who helped pitched in that day to make it another fun event.

June 3-Jade Premont put on a clinic on preparing for and riding in a dressage schooling show. She went over topics such as: learning and properly performing a dressage test, how to prepare for show day, and deciphering the judge’s remarks and your score. She had 5 participants that attended. Thank you, Jade!
July 17:Below are the placings for the Camping Trip Trail Challenge. We had a record 28 participants! The competition was tough which made the event even more exciting. A huge thank you goes out to Doug and Vicki Smith for judging and timing the event and only asking for a DRHC membership in return. We’re also sending out a gas card to them as a thank you for their time! We also want to thank all the volunteers for helping us set up and take down the obstacles. And thank you to James and Annette Deberville for once again setting up all the paperwork and keeping track of the scores. We look forward to the next trail challenge on October 2!

August 28 Play Day! We had 5 riders under the age of 5, and 5 riders age 10+. The horses were all on their best behavior. We did such games as egg and spoon, toilet paper race, musical chairs (a definite favorite), catalog race, and get dressed race. As luck would have it, everyone won a prize! The weather was great, and some of us stayed and chatted for 2 hours past the last game.
